IPA Cavan/Monaghan Guided Hike in Mourne Mountains - 10 June 2023

Dear Member,

Cavan/Monaghan IPA Region, in association with the IPA Hiking Club, are having a guided hike in the Mourne Mountains next Saturday 10^th June 2023. This will be a 12KM hike and suitable for all fitness levels. There will be refreshments after the hike and we will also be accompanied by a group of PSNI officers.

We are encouraging anyone who wants to try hiking to come out and join us. Hiking can help reduce stress, reduces anxiety and depression, lowers blood pressure, improves sleep etc. It has many health benefits.

We are meeting at Meelmore Lodge at 10am, 52 Trassey Road, Bryansford, Newcastle, Co.Down BT330QB. The hike will take approximately 6 hours and refreshments (tea/coffee and scones) will be provided after at the Tollymore National Outdoor Centre at 32 Hilltown Road near Newcastle, approx. 3KM from Meelmore Lodge. (Phone coverage is minimal around Meelmore Lodge).

Hiking boots are required along with a packed lunch, min. 2L water, sunscreen and hat.
